I usually keep what I think are accurate numbers on what my bankroll is in a little book, and then every so often I go to the actual online numbers in my bank account, neteller, poker sites, etc. and figure out if they match. Last time I went to see how closely they matched, what I had on paper was a lot higher than what I actually had online (and I was disappointed
). The other day I compared them and I was shocked to discover that I have almost $1k more than I actually thought I had on paper. Haha that's so awesome, it's like I got free money! I honestly have no clue how my numbers got that far off, it's kind of strange. I kept thinking that when I added up all my money again, I'd realize i made a mistake and realize I still only had a $4k bankroll. But somehow I'm at $5k ...
Anyway, this is just a short random update on what I'm doing. I stopped playing cash games and started playing tourneys again because I hoped to play in a $440 FO next Saturday at a casino in Langley. It's a ladies event that they hold every year, and the first prize should be around $36k. Unfortunately, it sold out really quickly apparently a month ago, haha. Oh well, next year hopefully.
So donkaments as practice, mostly deep stacked ones because the $440 would have been pretty deep. No big scores to mention. I did place 10/2358 in a recent $3R on Stars, I was really really disappointed. It was unfortunate I didn't make the final table because I lost two big hands that would have broken the bubble and made me chip leader or close (JJ<A8 and then my final hand, AA<A8s which would have tripled me up). Like I said, really disappointing ... I've never had a big win online before, and getting so close and being bad beat out of the final table twice really sucks. That's the way MTTs are though. Next time!
That's it for now. Just playing poker, tutoring, and trying to book painting work for now. It's really nice not going to school, I love not having a class schedule and homework and all that crap. Hopefully I start missing it as time goes on because I really do need to go back in September. But for now, no school is nice. I might keep playing tourneys, I don't know ... I've been really having fun with them lately. If I play cash, I won't play on Stars ... gotta figure that out. We'll see ...
