More and more lately, I've been becoming very serious about improving my game and just becoming a stronger player. With that includes coming back from my recent month-long downswing, and reviving my bankroll. I've talked to a lot of great players and they have all helped me in different ways. I've also played quite a few members of FTR heads-up and shared HH's, and it has improved my game tremendously too.
My friend ilikeaces86 convinced me to start grinding low-level NL cash games for a quick rebound, which seems like a pretty good idea so far. I've seen good results, quadtabling 100NL and 50NL on Party and keeping track of my hourly rate. I'm still playing MTT's, but not as much, and certainly not exclusively for a while until I feel comfortable with my BR again.
On another note, my friends and I are addicted to NHL 2K6 for XBOX 360. We take the games way too seriously, and we have created and drafted our own custom teams, and regularly discuss advanced strategy. My friend has a projector which lets us play on his whole bedroom wall. Needless to say, it's a lot of fun and a great diversion for us. Hanging out and playing that game is a great break from everything: school, my girlfriend, poker, everything.
This morning I woke up at 8:00 surprisingly, so I'm going to try and play in a few early MTTs, then just dominate cash games all day.
needless to say, having no Thursday class is awesome.
