Havent posted in a while.....Ive been.....busy. I went down to waco and bought a truck off a guy i know, just a little ford ranger. I needed something to put my bike (motorcyle) in, and my buddie had a 2000 ranger for sale.....its pretty sweet.....not. I bought a new deck for it, and already have some very high end component speakers that i am going to install in the next few days. Then I put in the bass and it will be complete.........lol. I had a dj gig at a frat party last weekend also...i thought i had hung up the dj shoes for good and almost sold my gear, but i got suckered into spinning at a big party.....and only got payed 150 bucks. On top of that, some drunk female took my favorite hat, its a boston redsox hat that i bought in boston........and i never saw the hat again. It was fun and all, but isnt something that i am going to be doing on a regular basis. Hmmm...oh yea poker.......

I set up a new account at party to take advantage of some rackback. Well i got the account set up, but had a hard time getting money into the account. Party will only let people transfer like 500 bucks in the sucker, and firepay only lets me put in 500 at a time. So its been a pain gettting that thing going. I havent been running that well either, i lost about 20 buyins at the 55s but have since made it all back and a bit more, but over the last week i am only up 500 bucks or so in sngs


MTTs......I cashed decent in a couple of mtts the other day too. I played in the pearl dime tourney on dise, 1k buyin.....28 people came out to play this bad boy. I ended up coming in 3rd........i thought joeytheb was making a move on me and overpushed his reraise with 55......he had qq......gg me. What sucked is the other guy had like 3bb and was in the bb, hence my thinking that i was getting a move put on me when i raised on the button. I also came in 3rd in the ub 109....18k guarantee. I had an great call with bottom pair 10105 only for it to be counterfit on the river and AQ won the pot with the A kicker. So i made a total of 6k in mtts, which was nice. Anyway, got to go to sleep, have a test in like 6 hours.........later

Update: We set up this sick setup at my buddies house, 5 lcds, 20 tables of poker glory. For fun i tried to 20 table, which i had to used 2 mice for.....it was pretty tough. Anyway, I moved up to the 55's with 3650 this weekend and have been grinding. My br is at 45xx now, i cant remember at the moment. I have been running ok, not great, but not bad. I dont have my exact stats because my computer is at my friends and i am on my laptop, but i think i have played about 150 sngs so far this weekend. I played in the stars deepstacks tourney also, which my doom ended up like so......(from memory)

Playing poker for a living and all you would think i would actually play poker right........well i only played 16 sngs yesterday. My stats for the 16 were as follows

So i made another 250 buck or so. So my im at 3650 with the project br. I think by today i will be playin 55's again. I want to just jump in there and start playin them again, but im showing some restraint and using the plan i layed out. I just like playing those 1000 chip tourneys, the 800 chippers leave you more limited to what you can do early.

On another note, i have an ex fling/girlfriend.....(i wouldnt call her a girlfriend) that has been calling/texting me non stop. Normally I would just tell them to shove off, you annoy me , something along those lines. I cant do that with this girl because it is one of my best briends sisters. Now why would i get involved with my best friends sister you ask.......heres the story.

I would hang always hang out over at my friends house and his sister didnt live there, she living with her mom, so i never saw her. The few times i did see her when we were growing up she was just the bratty younger sister. Well as fate would have it, the same time i got out of a 3 year relationship, his sister decided to move in. I already know from all the stories and stuff that she is crazy (no offense) and kinda bitchy. But...she did work at hooters, was a model, and i had just broke up with my long time girlfriend. For a while, she would come on to me and i would say no...you my friends sister, that wouldnt be cool....that sort of thing. Then she talked her brother and he said it was ok, so i did the stupid stupid stupid (dammit why did i do it) thing and hooked up with her for a couple of months.

So we had been porking.....dating, whatever for a couple of months, and she was really starting to bug me. But I was in a pickle, if i just kicked her to the curb, my friend would be super pissed at me. Not wanting to jeapordize our friendship, i had to devise a way for her to not want to date me anymore. I just started ignoring her, telling her i didnt want to go out, say i was working, that sort of thing. Welll one night she hit the bottle a little 2 hard and when i wouldnt come over and stay the night with her she finally broke and said the words i had been waiting to hear " I dont think we should see each other anymore" WOOHOO....I was off the hook.

Fast forward to now, I guess she got out of a relationship, dumped im assuming, and now she is calling/texting, the works. She lives in dallas, i live in lubbock, so it shouldnt be a problem, but it is. She is going to be up in lubbock for a couple of weeks for work....so i have to deal with that. Any of you ever had a girl/guy that made you want to throw up? Well this is the one person that does that to me. Its her personality, its so bad. Anyway, im stuck right now, and dont know what to do about it. I'll figure something out.

This weekend me and my buddy "apestyles" are going to set up a 4-5 screen dual setup at his house. Our theory is that if we are playing side by side then we will keep each other in check and make less donkey plays. Plus it will keep us focused on poker, and we like to bounce ideas off each other. I am looking to get in about 200 or so sngs in this weekend, which i dont think will be a problem. If this works out well, i am going to start doing in more often. I think it will take 5 long sessions to see if there is any significant improvement in my ROI.....actually i think it would take at least 1000 sngs, which would be more like 7-8 sessions. So, no booze or whores this weekend, just solid poker.

Ok, before i start playing cards today, I have to make a short rant. Why in the hell does Micky D's keep bringing back that wretched piece of garbage known as the McRib? These ads for this thing are all over the internet. Do you people really love the McRib? You like mystery meat with pickles and onions with a nappy BBQ sauce? I have to admit, i loath McDonalds, always have, and always will.....but there is no way that the masses could like this thing known as McRib. Anyway, off my soap box for now.

Also, i am a big music fan, and am always hunting for new music. I listen to everything under the sun, from stevie wonder all the way to slipknot, i have a broad taste in music. I am going to do to a sevendust concert in december and one of the bands playing with them is 10 years. So i thought id look them up. They are pretty damn good if you ask me. If you dont like heavy music....u still might like them. They are much more melodic and musical than other heavy bands. They do have a chevelle sound to them at times, which im not a fan of, but the lead singer has an awesome voice, and the music is really good. So I am investing a lot of money in starting a casino with my dad so i have been moving alot of poker money around. Because of this neteller locked up on me cause they wanted to make sure everything was on the up and up. When neteller locked up i only had 600 bucks in my party account which isnt even enough for me to play one set (8 tables) of 109's. SO i called neteller and blah blah blah they said it would be unfrozen shortly.

TO make a long story short i started up a set of 22's with my 600 bucks.....this was sunday.......and i ran really hot playin 22's.......went from 600 to 1300 in like 50 sngs..... so i thought screw it, i wont even deposit any money and just build my roll back up from scratch. So yesterday i set up the following ground rules for me.

1.Move up when i have 50 buy ins at a level
2. If i get below 25 buy ins at a level i drop down
3. Once i get to the 33's, i dont move up to the 55's or 109's with out 70 buy ins (they r much more swingy)
3.Play at least 50 sngs a day


So with those rules and determination to get back to the 109s fast i went to work. Monday was awsome and i went from 1300 and hit my 1650 to move to the 33's in like 10 sngs. SO i move up to the 33's and run really hot again and go from 1650 to 2600. I won almost 1k playin 33's in 60 sngs. I had an roi of around 50% during this time. So i call it quits for the day.

My 2 day old 600 br went fom 600 to 2592 in 2 days, the deck was smackin me in the face and life was pretty good. So i sit down today and play another 50 or so sngs. My bankroll is now at 3344. Needless to say, i really cannot lose right now, im waiting for downswing. Im getting close to the 3850 i need to move up to the 55's, and im sure thats when I'll have the downswing.


Poker aside, my roomate of 2 years just decided to drop out of school and move back home to dallas. Now why would a guy that has a 3.7 GPA over the last 2 years just drop out of school? Well everything has been the same except for one thing..... a GIRLFRIEND. Thats right, this summer he met a girl in dallas, and i guess school isnt as important to him anymore. It is insanely stupid of him, and he knows this. He has been doing the long distance thing this semester and i guess he decided he couldnt be apart from her....so lame if you ask me. Its not like they have been together for years, this is a 3 month old thing. Anyway, i was staking him to play cards, but hes not really playing anymore so im cutting that off. Did i mention hes also broke for the first time since I've known him?
Now how could that be......girlfriend maybe? This is his first actual longterm girl, he usually doesnt keep girls for more than a couple of weeks, its always been like that.

While I'm on the subject, Im kinda dating his girlfriends roomate. She is the coolest girl I've ever talked to, almost like she isnt even a chick. So whats the problem with her? Well, she has no job, no car, doesnt go to school, and does nothing all the time. How the hell could i like someone like that? I dont really know, but she doesnt bitch, doesnt care about money at all, likes to drink gin....(my fav), and has an overactive sex drive, so why am i having qualms over this? And you know whats even better, she doesnt have a cell or home phone and lives 300 miles away, so i dont even have to talk to her very often, only when she borrows her roomates cell. Oh did i mention shes friggin hot too....like 5'5 105 c cup hottie. After having a bitchy girlfriend for 3 years, this is totally different for me. ANyway, off the soapbox now...................

Whats up everybody. I guess i am goin to try and do this blog thing everyone is talkin about. I guess I'll start with little background on me..... I am a student at Texas Tech University, and poker is my means of paying for school. So i take poker pretty serious. It has been my sole source of income for the past 2 years or so. I am really into cars, sports, and music...and oh yea, motorcycles. I have a kawasaki zx-6r that i am going to kill myself on sooner or later.....hoepfully later. I also like to play guitar, been donkin around with it for about 5 years now. Anyway, i havent really decidede how much actual poker content this blog will contain, cause i am lazy about looking up hands and such. I have no clue what i want to do when i get out of school, but ive been investing my money here and there, and hope that i can get ahead early.

On to poker i guess.......... I used to play limit holdem full time, when i quit playing limit i was playing 15/30 on party. That became a huge grind to me......8 tablin limit on party for 5 hours a day will eventually drive you insane....which it did. So now im playin sngs on party. Natually I play at least 8 tables at once, sometimes up to 16, pending on the day. I play 22's to 215's, really just depends. I am starting to relize however that it is just as profitable (almost) to 16 table the 22's as it is to 8 table the 109's, with way less variance. the 109s and 215s are very swingy, and bad day 8-12 tablin can mean losing 2k+.

On another note, i am about to cash out most of my bankroll to invest with my dad. He is starting a casino in florida, and i think it would be cool to be a part of it. He has have a ton of successfull endeavors, and this one seems solid. So I am basically going to be starting over with my poker br, which does not bother me at all.
